minimum tailshaft yoke clearance ?

Hi guys - just wondering what is the minimum clearance I could get away with when fitting a one piece tailshaft. If my calculations are correct a 6speed shaft will be 20mm longer than the ideal length for my Brumby conversion. Now I can tweak the wheel base a little (say 5-10mm) so the shaft will be...

[WA] Brumby chassis rail connectors for sale

Got a set of chassis rail connectors that are no good to me any more. These tie the rear of the front chassis rails to the rear chassis rails for a (supposedly) stiffer body. Made by one of the old members on here who I don't think makes them any more, or even gets on here either. Looking for $50. C...

No idea - I imagine the engine looms are similar. Give Al at AMAuto a call - he is the Subaru wiring expert and he is in Brisbane or Qld at least :)

I have the engine that goes with it - maybe you could use the inlet manifold etc from my engine and then it will definitely work.

I've got an EJ22 wiring loom from a Gen 2 Liberty if that is any good to you - I think the ECU is there too but I would have to check. Can freight it to Pinkenba depot for probably $40 -but not until 11th July.

Yeah Ken (niterida) is closer but don't think he travels that way very often, where as WayneO travels in to Gero quite a bit. I've only just seen this thread - yeah I am closer but don't ever go that way. But if you need me to go check them out and get any info or bits then let me know - its only 4...

Yeah ebay postage is a PITA when listing items.

I have sold a few things on ebay but they never go for anywhere near what I think they are worth (a $2000 dive computer with just 10 dives on it sold for $150 !!) and ebay fees are astronomical. So I have a new rule :

Buy on eBAy
Sell on forums

Whats the power of the EJ20 in the Foz ? if it is 104kw then you can put an EJ25 in since they are only 125kw.

NachaLuva wrote:The engine had to be an option in that model. Does that mean all Foresters or that model of Forester, ie, SF Foz?
Yeah would have to be that model designation - EZ30 was an option in Gen 3 (BH) Liberty but you can't put it in a Gen 2 Liberty (BG) without engineering approval.

Oh no! does that mean if my twin port EA81 makes more than 15% more power than a stock EA81 I need to get it engineered!? Fat chance of that happening  Oh but you said SA is the only state that doesn't follow the NCOP rules? We probably have some even more mind bending, confusing an...

As far as I understand Victoria also use the NCOP so you can definitely put an EJ20T or EJ25T (Forester came out with EJ25T didn't they ?) since they were a factory option. And since an EJ20T puts out 150kw and EJ22 only puts out 100kw (or thereabouts) you can still put one in since they have less t...

Doesn't matter about % power increase - he has changed engine type (EA to EJ) so it must be engineered. Basically if it is not a factory option engine then it must be engineered. The % power allowance only applies if you put a bigger engine from the same family into a car that didn't have it as an o...
