I think you will find that is not true. The latest rules are NCOP's (National Code Of Practice) and you most certainly do need engineering approval if you turbo charge a non-turbo motor. Chasing a couple of front drive shafts to suit my RS Liberty - don't need to be in perfect condition as long as they are still usable.

Brush on seam sealer - don't try and use anything else.

It isn't glue - its seam sealer - it stops water getting into the seam and rusting out the panel. The panels are spot welded along those joins - you can see the spots where there is a dimple.
