Not all states are using NCOP yet - but I believe they will eventually. Also NCOP is a guideline and each state may have their own 'version' of them. It applies to all light vehicles - which is any vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Mass less than 4500kg. But there is still so much misinformation even in ...

That is old information - the NCOP has superseded it : Table LA1 Recommended Maximum Engine Capacity All vehicles originally weighing less than 800 kg. Original mass (kg) x 3.0 = max. capacity in cc’s for NA Original mass (kg) x 2.5 = max. capacity in cc’s for turbo/supercharged All vehicles origina...

I believe that there may no longer be a legal restriction on the rim diameter increase that you can fit over OEM size ( this used to be +1") and that it is only now illegal to increase your rolling circumfrence ( ie change the speedo reading) - but I don't know for sure if this is true , or what th...

I think you will find that is not true. The latest rules are NCOP's (National Code Of Practice) and you most certainly do need engineering approval if you turbo charge a non-turbo motor. See here for a list of all NCOPs : http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/vsb_ncop.as...

what an awesome performance. Do you know what work has been done on the engine? Not really - all I know is it has been sleeved and is a 2.5 or bigger maybe. There is nothing fancy or expensive except for the inlet manifold which is a one-off and took lots of experimentation. Wow thats moving!!! My ...

Didn't know that about PP - surely it would only apply to large businesses and work in the manner as the limited credit card protection schemes? Could not see how it possibly work in private treaty such as a gumtree transaction? Yeah I'm not sure how it works either - but here is the policy : Eligi...

eBay owns gumtree and paypal. Paypal protection only exists within the confines of ebay, not gumtree Not true - Paypal now protect any purchase - but don't know how they go about proving it one way or the other without an ebay ad with description etc. They slipped this in quietly I think so that no...

Chasing a couple of front drive shafts to suit my RS Liberty - don't need to be in perfect condition as long as they are still usable.
Will be in Perth early next week to pick up if any one has any.

It isn't glue - its seam sealer - it stops water getting into the seam and rusting out the panel. The panels are spot welded along those joins - you can see the spots where there is a dimple. If you try to make it smooth it WILL leak and your car will rust from the inside. Best to just paint straigh...

Got a couple of the trims that run from the tailgate along the side of the tray and up to the roof. Not 100% but not too bad either. Chasing best offer within the next 3 weeks.
