I'll vouch for that ! Elongate the holes on MY mounts to suit their respective sides on 5 speed box. Caution...elongated inwards on one side, outwards on the other. Know your left and right mounting brackets first, keeping in mind left looks different if you are lying on your back looking up.

you really don't want them both running all the time, unless you are doing the six miles up hill with trailer and 25+ degrees it is not too hard to renew the switch in the radiator if it does stop working my a/c has gone to make way for other things, still have two fans, have two a/c switches on das...

Maybe you bought yours off the same guy I did. They obviously had similar troubles, and gave up, yet forgot to mention their woes. I did the carby overhaul thing, filters, rotor, cap , leads, plugs, fuel pump swap, tank inspection and then fuel supplier changes seemed to fix the problem BUT... the r...

a guy in the US had some troubles installing, but may have been mechanical reasoning more than anything else.
BSR41 is the Whiteline #
ebray was the guy in the US, or was it McBrat ?

I got impression it was a torsion bar bent at a right angle which connected near diff, ends mounting forward

Hey Steve, Only 2000 kms ? Good to hear it is being tuned by 'seat-of-the-pants' no special equipment required - just a road and a sober mind cool air induction idea years ago a journo wrote of a mini cooper that ran no speedo, uh huh, because it was ripped out to fit a big side draught carby so the...

you have got to ask why are manufacturers spending shiploads of dough on developing better fuel economy when Hiclone has the answer - in some cases. I know and trust a machine shop owner who sells these and has good reports from club members on yanky V8s but cannot part with the dough to try for mys...

I have steered clear of Kelpro brand for some years and reckon oeticker the go in a blue box. Turner Enterprises in Sydney I think sell the German made boots made to stretch over the install cone with sillcun spray. Just the boots installed the old fashioned way might do. Quite often get what you pa...

I fitted mine in April this year and stil have some memories of it. Wait for old tech manuals to be resurrected and it is all there in detail. The L series d/r 5 speed fits in std height MY and Brumby Use MY gearbox crossmember and its mounts that you adapt the holes to suit L series box. At the top...

I agree with Jordan. An L Series 5 speed 4WD d/r conversion. All the bits cost me $500 and 20 hours off stuffing around. The ratios of gears and diffs a bit of a lucky dip. Try different dia rims and tyres to see if you like the change. Then there is the cortina / escort weber carby ($50 or so) plus...

MY didn't come with awd gearbox, did they ? Did you mean 4WD or you got a awd box from something else in MY (lucky bugger ) If you mean MY standard 4WD box and/or dual range, they are tricky....circlips and ball bearings and springs bloody everywhere. If you intend to put it back together and it to ...

THE WELDING OPTION ??? AARGH!! Some bastard did that to mine before I bought it and left a blob, enough to keep bashing at the seal, causing it to leak. Luckily a small grinder and bits were enough to make the repair good, and able to replace the seal. The epoxy repair to restore the shaft was rough...
