Driveline Services are highly recommended.
The couple of people I know who have bought ebay CV's have been very disappointed with them.

Are your tyres exactly the same size?
Uneven tyre sizes, even just alot of wear to some tyres can cause bind up in the Gearbox.

well i was looking around and and can see where most things are going to fit in, apart from the solid metal plate bit. and the two small black bushes.. any help would be appreciated. The Metal Plate goes between the diff and the diff carrier to space the diff down. The two 1" black blocks go under ...

The Intercooler fan is a fairly common mod for offroaders with top mounts.

A lot of the mods discussed on here are for situations Subaru never expected their cars to be in, like deep soft sand low range churning or or the Fan switch for water crossings.

I've seen a couple of early Lib's where they added remote central locking by putting only the drivers door actuator and receiver in. It works because when you press the button it unlocks the drivers door which triggers the factory central locking to open the others just like you where using the key ...

I suspect though, it's more likely your bonnet is at fault. If the hinge gets stiff and you keep opening the bonnet without lubing it, the mounting area on the corner of the bonnet will bend and fracture. have a look at it while you move the bonnet up and down. My Brumby did the alternative, the bo...

Take it to a Panel Shop and get a quote.
The quote should say what they're planning to do, eg change suspension parts or straighten chassis.

You're Best bet might be to measure the hight of the two good tyres as best you can, then find a place that does second hand tyres.
Then you can get CV's now and replace all four tyres when they need it.

Amamoor reece

Went for a reece to Amamoor, turned out a little wet so we didn't even bother attempting Mt Gentle Anne.
The (normally) easy tracks on the way were Interesting though!

ElFreddo was right, 4.11 is 39/9 and 4.44 is 41/9

I was running 26.5" tyres with the 4.11s and the gearing felt about standard, now with 27.7" tyres it's not quite like standard but it's still good!

The Awd box is better on road, the 4wd box is better in extreme 4wding.
How much time do you spend on each?
I reckon i could count on one hand the number of times the center diff has let me down.
