I LOVE SNOW DRIVING!
Probably the biggest thing I miss about living in the snow!
And you wouldn't get it to step out sideways unless you were driving harder really intending to do it. When on ice under the snow it'll do it when you least expect it - but when I was trying I actually found it difficult to drift a corner, probably due to snow tyres and the 4wd system. Mrs El_Freddo never liked that but would laugh her arse off (not in spite, I think she enjoyed sliding) when I was actually out of control due to a slide I wasn't expecting. She can be a bit weird like that!
You were pretty lucky to have that snow up there when you visited! It would've been awesome - I love snow camping!
Cheers
Bennie
