Yeah also keeping engine warm 24/7 - some ppl in America plug into electric socket to keep their engines warm as they have an heating element in the sump...

They do the same thing in Canada - otherwise the oil freezes solid!

You're not going anywhere if that happens. :p

So I wonder how long its been running on gas. I've read so many arguments about lpg killing engines and especially Subaru engines.

it is close to thirteen years on gas, and gas did not kill my EA81, too many revs too often and oil not able to keep up to the centre main bearing. bores and pistons fine after 160,000km, a few valves stuffed on their second life after 180,000 on inspection not in way it ran. Knew a fella with a few subies long life on LPG

My old 84 Ford Telstar I had with the 2L FE engine had 412,000km when I sold it and i used to flog it. Its still going around after I sold it to a mate four years ago and bought my L series wagon. I averaged around 50,000km a year in that. The other week I clocked up 5500km in my Outback in one week travelling around.

Hi guys,
my little MY has only done 300.000 and it is still goin strong!! I have had it for 2 years and I am not kind to the old girl, I have not had an ounce of trouble with it! I have had heaps of 4cyl's and none have been as strong as this old girl!! The people I got her off had her since new so up till I took ownership she probably had a easy life. None the less she still been flogged for over 2 years and never missed a beat!! MY'S ROCK!!!!!
I might have to part with the old girl soon due to extending the family. That will be a sad day for me :(
