1991 legacy gl 1.8
Ok this is going to sound really strange I bought myself this legacy in pretty decent condition nothing that I can´t fix body wise. The big thing I need help with is engine work the engine runs great and pushing 250,000 km I want to either rebuild and boost as much horsepower from it or if I should just dump a little bigger engine into. I want to keep it as simple as possible but will do the work if I need to. I have access to a nice machine shop and a master weilder. I don´t have a lot of engine experience I was always more of a body man. Any and all help will be great and good.

parts
also where is a good spot to shop for performance parts online. I live in iceland so international shipping is a must anything that has cheap prices cause taxes here are insane. I want also to put as much STi SPT parts to it as possible the AWD with high low box is a must keep. even though its going to look nice I want to be able to attach a trailer to it and take it up in the mountains. my theory of cars is have them look nice as possible but use them as long as you don´t abuse it it´ll last forever. same with my first car.
