Is it possible to swop the wiring loom on my EA82T three plug(to ECU) to a four? Its only the wiring from engine to ecu, nothing else as the engines in my *coughvwcough* so no wipers, lights, etc etc etc to worry about.
steff...........
loom swop
What year is the loom?
I remember separating out the EFI loom on one of my previous cars (an 85) so I could later remove it to do an EJ swap.
If its a Series 1 L, it wants power (via the 4th fusible link, not used on carby models) & then gives a feed to dash oil pressure, water temp, ECU & turbo lights. Plus wants input from starter motor wire, A/C wire.
Might be a few others (its been 10 years since I did this...)
BTW, know of any VW forums? I've got a 93 WRX engine with stripped out factory EFI loom & ECU I'm looking at selling.
