hi Guys/Girls...
just curious.. im a newbie to all this..
i own a 1997 subaru gt legacy... and im having some drams with it..
im just curious if anyone knows if it has hydrfaulic lifters in it????
if anyone could help me this would be muchly appreciated!! cheers

It most likely has hydraulic lifters cos i think the solid bucket ones came out in 3gen.

Are they per chance ticking?

hahah yeah they are but only on the left side...
my mate reckons it might be the tappets loose but as i said im not that mechanically mineded..

its your lifters...you'll find that some are blocked...there is an oil hole in them and it can get crap in it...i had this problem and had to take mine out and pump them up....bleed them....and then they were and still are fine
