hi all, thinking of purchasing one in about 6 months for a project car, and just wanting to get as much info on them as possible
thanks,
thanks,
Sherpa
I have had a 1985 KM van for a few years. Still have it at home Sydney unregistered but running fine. Needs a few minor fixes to get it back on the road.
It was a very reliable car, cheap on fuel and very torquey. The engines from these are in demand for ultra-lite aircraft as they are so reliable, light and powerful.
Mine is up for sale if anyone is interested.
I have a link to a workshop manual online if anyone is interested.

Not the safest car to be driving but just the same a great little workhorse, full of surprises as to weight carrying capacity and they run on the smell of an oily rag.openflame06 wrote:My mate has one and its been running for ages, as far as i know they are a great for reliability and affordability
My wife had one for a couple of years until she nearly vanished under the trailer of a semi on Ross River Road in Townsville and she came home and vowed & declared she was not driving that car ever again and she wanted something bigger so we traded it in for a 1986 Nissan Pintara (another reliable car to us).
