I am trying to find out which year model subaru 2.5i engines came out with Euro 4 compliance. I know Euro4 was only introduced into Australia in Jul 08, but has been in Europe since 05.
Did any of the 05, 06 or 07 motors come out in Australia complying with this standard?
I am looking for an engine to fit to an ICV.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Tell us a little about yourself, it will help us get an idea of what you are trying to achieve.
What is an ICV?
I cant find any info on Euro4 emissions for the EJ25, but i dare say that they would have been compliant straight as soon as they could

An ICV is an Individually Constructed Vehicle.
I am basically looking at fitting this into a fully custom registered offroad buggy.
It is built around a VW chassis tunnel, however as I am changing the width of the wheel track by 6 inches, increasing the wheel base length by 6 inches and running upto 33inch wheels, I need to go through the ICV process to make it legal.
This required me to have a motor that complies with todays emission standards - Euro 4.
I have tried contacting Subaru, but there customer care basically just refers to the sales brochures which didn't list it for the pre MY08 models as it wasn't an issue in Australia then.
