Not sure what you mean by bearing follower?
I have a clutch cable spare.

For the L series just buy thr throw out bearing, they are only worth around $20-25 for the bearing and you punch / puller the old one and replace it. Unless you have damaged the Sleeve, which would be quite difficult.

My words of advice for the dual ports are good luck... And when you find them be prepared to pay for them.. (Around $300-$400) Just keep you eye out here and put a post up.
Having said that if you are keeping an EA81 in your car, go for it they are bloody awesome heads and make the little EA81 Scream! I have had my poor little EA81 over 7 grand without it pinging, etc. Also note you need the rockers with the heads as they are different to the standard ones and i believe the cam is to, or atleast i would be going the extra mile and putting a mild cam in it. I believe the cam i have in mine is 272... and it pulls hard right the way through the rev range above about 1500 rpm.

From what I've read the heads and cam are a package - the dual port heads reverse the inlet/outlet valves of a standard head so instead of going from out in in out they go in out out in.Matt wrote:Having said that if you are keeping an EA81 in your car, go for it they are bloody awesome heads and make the little EA81 Scream! Or you could get a cam ground/new for the job - then do up the motor at the same time. Basically its not going to be cheap.
Good luck!
As for the throw out bearing - I thought the L's input shaft was the same diametre as the MY's, unless its a two wheel drive only 5spd gearbox - they run a smaller size input shaft to the 4wd gearbox...
Cheers
Bennie
And the shaft sizes are very different off memory the L series is bigger and i believe you can't use the L fork with the MY Throw out bearing holder as it won't work properly.
Also now i engage the brain, i agree total with Bennie; the Dual Port heads have to run a different Cam for sure due the Head going Exhaust/Intake/Intake/Exhaust not Intake/Exhaust/Exhaust/Intake therefore the standard EA81 cam wouldn't cut it.

Cheers for the help I'll keep a look out for the heads.
Just looking for a bit more hp while it's all in peices i got a custom cam the heads worked, port matched inlet manifold, custom exaust manifold 3 inch all the way through and a 180 holley gonna run a toyota supercharger but still thinking about what i should do with the carby , run a blow through carby, put the carby on the charger, or build a box around the carby to equalise the pressure inside and out. Any ideas ?
The L series shaft is quite a bit bigger than the my. Thanks for the offer phil at darwin but wanna stick with the 5 speed.

Yep - seen that done before in an American car mag. It was a turbo or supercharger compnay that built it. Not sure if it was in production or not but it defintiely solved all their problems with fuelling and blowing out seals and gaskets.ur a bus wrote: build a box around the carby to equalise the pressure inside and out.
