That doesnt look all that serious, i was expecting much worse.

A good panel beater will be able to straighten out the subframe and fix er up good
Agreed! I'd probabily forget about the insurance company and go it on your own to get it fixed. This way the vortex remains off the "repairable write off" list, its like a black mark against a vehicle I reckon. You've got the daily to keep you moving so its not like you're stuck for a car

Its a shame that you swerved, but after looking at the pics I reckon the roo would've done more damage...

Chin up and all the best with the rebuild, it'll be tough but worth the effort!

Cheers

Haha I could have sworn I changed that back when we got back to Perth. I've been back for about three months!

H-Top: That's not too bad. I'll be pricey to fix, but not as pricey as a new car.

I fell for you h-top. That was a fine car, and hopefully will be again. Roo's sound like a real big broblem for you guys, its hard to imagine from my side of the world. I have the same problem with deer and elk. I've had all 4 locked up at highway speeds more than once last winter. Damn things will step onto the road and freeze. I dont steer around at speed as I would rather take out the animal instead of something else and only hope they dont come thru the windshield. Good luck getting your car sorted out.

That's cool man! glad it worked out! Just do me a favour and don't put a lift kit under it!

Does that mean you may have some parts from your wrecked one? I guess you are probably going to keep it for spares no?

Oh, and the above mentioned wreck at lismore, I went and checked IT out today, It was 2wd NA Auto & it's trashed, all windows and sunroof out so it is full of leaves & sticks, even a chicken living in the boot!! Discs are gone (someone must have thought it was 4wd), engine gone, interior stuffed and now missing a towbar and original radio ;) It does have air conditioning (no comp.) though, which I imagine would be hard to find if you wanted it.
