Hi Mickey and welcome to AUSubaru
I think some more info like what model car you have and are you planning to do this yourself or get the work done by someone else? and also what do you want out of the car in regards to the final product?
Start with this and will go from there

Ok cool.. the 97 RX Liberty is a nice car to use for a conversion.
If it was me, I'd be looking for a Version 3 to Version 6 STi halfcut with matching rear diff (make sure you get the rear CV shafts as well). These are not too hard to find

you wouldn't happen to know how much a cut and diff would be? the sti version sounds like it might be out of my price range:( i was maybe looking at a stock version. trying to not have to change too much with my original driveline. this is something i was looking at doing later on but my hand has been forced. so money is tight.
would i have to change much of my driveline with the standard ej20t?:)

You will be looking at around $2500-$3000 for a WRX EJ20T and around $4000-$8000 for a STi EJ20T
I would not try and use the early RS EJ20T for a couple of reasons, I'd also not look at the Twin Turbo unless you want to have lots of headaches when things don't work.
As for what you'll need to change in the driveline is everything up front (including wiring), gearbox and rear diff. There is lots of swapping over and I can advise more when the time comes around.. until then it will be just mumbo jumbo

What about gettin a EJ 25 turbo? granted you'll probably have to muck around sending it to an auto electrician but it'd be worth it!
Just food for thought...
