Very effective advertising campaign in the US, why didnt they do it here?

That's full on! The boulder story is amazing... And seeing all of those poor written off subaru's and the stories that go with them is mind blowing.

I also wonder why they don't do it here.

Another thing they don't do here is offer the ownership badges of number of Subie the badge is on with a chosen sporting icon - must be up to their marketing gurus and pencil sharpeners

SPORTS: The premier sport in Westralia is however "Lounging", a hugely popular practice where a vehicle powered beyond the abilities or control of the drunken and/or drug affected occupant, is driven at high speed into the lounge room of an unsuspecting homeowner. Variations on this popular pass time are "Bedrooming" and "Pooling", the latter being a homage to the late great Keith Moon. Competition is graded by the allocation of points for each metre the vehicle's radiator intrudes into the private property and extra points are awarded for clearing obstacles such as garden walls, gnomes, concrete Aboriginals, children's headboards and coffee tables.
Dear Subaru you enguneirng has savd me. After a roxsor nite on the gogo and jax me and muh mates stole an WRX and proceeded to thrash the box of it.
The pigs tryd to catch us but they didnt have the nutz.
soon we lost em but bugger me if the go-ee wore of and we ended up in this guys loungeroom talk about funny talk about sh#t me slef

thanks Subaru any other car the pigs woulda caught me

a typical weekend in the suburbs of Perth

SA version: 'stobiing' putting a (either yours or someone you stole it from) 'fully sic WRX bro' into a telegraph pole (=stobie pole in SA) at 180 kph
