I think that http://www.brookypartsplus.com.au have a wide range of subi parts, but are a little expensive. They're in smithfield i think & i've seen ej20's for around $1100 (not sure if thats just the engine or running gear as well). Other than that pick'n'pay less at blacktown is all i can think of. Do i smell a conversion?

prepare to loose a first born, or your left 'one' to brooky. i'd use them as a last resort.

look harder, im sure there are many more subaru wreckers about.

you'll be getting crumbs from pick'n'payless.

There's Cardiff autos ( Newcastle aea), who specilize in Subi dismantling, but they will take your other one 8O They do however seem to do deals and their quality seems good. If its slow, and you tell em what your prepared to spend.. who knows.

Could be worth while giving Sun Spares a call and see how much freight would be...
Chris

'88 Vortex AWD turbo with "go hard" attitude -

WRX EJ20G and box , TD05 Turbo and 4.111 running gear.
5 Stud conversion (Crossbred Performance) Multi pot GT Legacy brakes and 17" rims
Plenty of plans... the plans are getting done slowly;).... getting there - NOT! ;)

tried brooky parts............. never again!! the bloke "assured" me that an EJ20 could not possibly fit into a brumby........idiot :x
i also got some info on the salvage cars that the NRMA own and operate.. so i'll have to see if they get many subi's
otherwise i'll keep looking.
cheers

I got my set of outback wheels from brookys for $550. One was a little sctatched, but they all had near new tyres on them. The two people I dealt with seemed to know their stuff. They are pricy though. My brother got quoted $2500 i think for an EJ20T ENGINE.
Have a look through the yellow pages, there are lots of Subaru wreckers about.

I wouldn't try brooky parts plus. I was after a ac compressor for my brumby and they wanted nearly 200 for it when i got one off these forums for $50(BaronVonChickenPants your a legend!). I then asked them if they had a cheaper one cause i didn't have that money and they told me to f*ck off and go somewhere else. I then was getting a tailgate off then for $380 and i told him to put it aside for me so i could pick it up and when i went there (4 hour drive) and then when i got there a week later he told me he sold it on me because of what i asked about the ac compressor. He was seriously the biggest wanker ever. Thats my experience anyway but i guess its up to you if you wanna go there.

i think they wanted $3200 or something for an rs turbo front cut i think it was about a 94ish
there was a place down the road i'll try to find out who it was i forget now but they were friendly and gave me a good price on my EJ20T.
