1 park the car on a hill, so the engine facing up the hill

2 carefully remove the radiator cap, if the engine is hot wait untill it cools a down bit before you open the cap.

3 start the engine and get it to running temperature

4 wait for the air lock to bubble its way out of the engine, you may have to rev the engine to make the water circulate better

5 top up the coolant in the radiator once the airlock had come out, making sure that it is filled up to the top.

6 replace the cap making sure the over flow bottle has coolant in it as well and then go for a drive

the noise should be gone

On top of what Toonga has said - the drive should be a good one for a bit of time, not just around the block. Cruising is good, a hill climb would be better

beleive it or not, the reservoir also has to be full. its not just a cathment for overflowing coolant, it also gets sucked back into the radiator when the engine gets hot for the first time since a coolant change! During the first heat cycle, all the chambers around the cylinders which were otherwise impossible to bleed, get hot and turn gradually bleed out along with coolant, and when that air pocket makes its way to the top of the radiator, it is replaced with coolant, as the compressed hot air opens the rad/cap.

Like Jules (TOONGA) has mentioned.. I use a hoist to raise the car as high as possible and then using a funnel.. I use one of these (http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/attachment ... .jpg?stc=1) but I've heard of others using a cut down 2L Coke bottle, then fill halfway and let the engine run until the fans come on then turn off. Turn car off and leave funnel in until engine has cooled down, then refit rad car and fill overflow bottle only to the full line and monitor for a few days.

2 reasons then why it is still gurgling is..

1. Heater core is partial block

2. Head Gasket is leaking
