Cheap L Series in Melbourne
Cheap L Series in Melbourne
There's a cheap L Series for sale in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. It's parked in my driveway!
After all the help you guys have given me over the years, I've decided to offer it really cheap here before it goes to the online sites.
AUSubaru price $450. (I'll add a couple of hundred to it when I send it to Car Sales etc.).
I still drive it daily, but I'll be cancelling the reg this week. It's got a bull bar, tow bar, roof racks, excellent gearbox, new radiator, new timing belts, engine is good (lifter ticks for a few seconds after cold startup). The heater fan is not working and the front left brake rotor is warped... there's a slight dent in the front left wheel arch and some small rust around the windshield.
Contact me on 0407099603 for more details, or send me a PM if you want some more photos (I've attached one).
Cheers,
Dave

It's done 250K, but I believe it's the 2nd engine (an EA82). For a RWC, it would need new front tyres (the rear are pretty new). All brake pads have been done in the last 6 months. It might need some new bushes... and probably new rubber boots around the drive shafts. I guess it depends on the mechanic.
Nobody from here. I had a couple of enquiries, but unfortunately no one was in Melbourne, so it made delivery a bit hard.
I did however find out that it's possible to buy a car from Melbourne and drive it interstate on a temporary registration from VicRoads though. You can get a permit for up to 28 days, but have to drive during daylight hours. Could be cheaper than an airfare in some cases!
