I have also made do with a thin stanley knife with the blade removed and a pair of long nose pliers. obviously not as good as the actual tool, but a suitable make shift solution.

Looks like the KD tool, but there must be another one for the bands that are a bit like a belt with a clasp that needs tightening past the hole (like sucking yer guts in) to get the keeper in the hole

The axle is the drivers side out of the ute taken it apart all the balls and parts had minimal wear on them had to tap the balls into the holes. i have a spare of a L Wagon but didn't know if making noises had been replace from the car just need to pull it down to see.

the boots of ebay from suzkisuper have been buying from them over the last year or more.

spent quite a few hours attempting to polish the wheels i put on recently. i got a drill attachment from bunnings and some cutting/polishing compound with some cutting and polishing wheels.

fiddly business!

Install a half inch steel rear diff bash plate, nothing shall touch my diff :)
~Subaru brumby 1990 - 14's , alloy bullbar , tow bar , 1/2inch rear diff bash plate. .... so far.

Off My l series, nearly crushed my chest when i dropped the diff.
Pro tip; let it drop ahah.
It lowered my suspension by 2mm, i need new shocks

I would not have a clue, too me its just a heavy L with a oval cut out for dif inspection/drain. then bolts to the front of the diff and where your support arm is that holds the diff. ill send you photos if ya need

Can now concentrate of cosmetics. Two vW Scat belt guards protect fingers- a legal requirement in Victoria.

There are two belts now and too wide for a single guard.

Yes Bennie it looks good....like a double VW :grin: they werent quite long enough about 30mm short but one shouldnt have their fingers at the bottom of the crank pulley anyway.
