I have never seen a pic like that, that shows the exhasut ports, very nice. That would make sense, I couldn't understand why you would go to the trouble of producing those heads and not changing the exhaust ports, but they obviously did.
Unfortunatley the EJ in a car would just be too easy and cheap compared to SUB4 heads. I was talking to a friend just yesterday who is into ultralight aeroplanes and surprisingly he said a modified ea81 is a prefered option for them because of it weight over an EJ.

PS has anyone got a pic of EA81S heads?

There is a thread on another subaru forum that this guy had detailing his brumby build. It's probably linked on here somewhere...

which is where most say an EJ will be cheaper..... the SUB4 heads with roller rockers from the NZ company were similar out of reach price for road going econoboxes like ours

Yep, not cheap but I am considering these heads. I've done EJ conversions and want to do something different.

That seems like a really good price I reckon.
All the head work done - seats in, guides in, you'd just have to lap the valves and assemble them! And steptoe if the sub4 heads are similarly priced that's even better, I thought someone said they were around ten thousand dollars a pair?

I thought the price was reasonable too. What I gather was $10000 was for a complete running SUB4 engine, looks like SUB4 may have gone out of business as no links to their site work. I've been looking on aviation sites for used Subaru aero engines but have only found an EJ20 setup for $6000 US and a EA82T in Australia for about $3000.
