The L series tail gate had a ding in it and cracked paint around the ding.
Repaired ding and painted the area including the bottom half of the tail gate.
Pitty the car is going up for same :(

I gave my Brumby an oil & filter change. But after that I got a hit of motivation. My brother recently brought this Brumby:
Image
It had a passenger seat bolted in the drivers side which doesn't work too well.
I got my original 2 seats that came with my Brumby & stripped them & made a good drivers seat.

Now the Brat has my Liberty seats

& I have original nice condition Brumby seats.

All in all a productive few hours, very pleased.

Cheers Jake

Timing belt, tensioner, idlers, cam seals and crank seal.

Was going to do the water pump, but I learned that a N/A 2.5 RX Liberty needs a turbo water pump; does anyone want a new Aisin N/A water pump (WPF-002)?

One of the cam seals actually fell out, no wonder oil has been dripping onto my exhaust!

Yeah that's the one, you won't see it near your place anymore, sorry. I think he has poured a lot of $ into it. There's heaps of brand new parts on it & the paint work would have cost a heap.

Took all the wheels off the brumby. Cleaned and painted the hubs silver and washed the wheels and rims. Greased a few parts underneath while it was on the hoist.
Gave the windows a good clean too!

Cheers, Stretch.

Finally got to the wreckers and bought a speedo cable for the MY wagon.
It's weird having a speedo now.

I have ordered some parts for my forester. the first one being some shocks! they will be going in a few weeks. LED lights for the interior also. new +100 lights after having good results with my 04 forester. a new bearing for my AC adjuster pulley as the squick has been driving me nuts! ;)
I am also currently in the mix of purchasing a steel sump guard from ********* performance. just trying to get a courier out to my neck of the woods.
And finally priced up some new tyres, at this stage i will be going with 205/75r15 maxxis MT 753. they're cheap as chips for a mud/aggressive all terrain about $150 a tyre :) haven't ordered them yet but will be soon once all the rest is done.

In the last 4 months,

New front and rear wheel bearings.

New front and rear brakes

New front C.V's Feb 2013 (Wrong ones, three bearing C.V's)

Replaced with New cutom built heavy duty 6 bearing C.V's (last week).

New 2 inch Exhaust system (last week)

Recond manual steering rack (what a nightmare) (last week)

Rola Roof racks X 3 (last week)

Roof rack cage (last week)

In three weeks time it gets a complete timing kit with new Oil pump, seals and Water pump, along with a new clutch, and last of all, all belts, hoses, filters, spark plugs, oils and leads.

Then it will be time to start on the body.

^ Wicked Alex, looks sick! I just purchased some lightforce 170's to replace my smashed Narva 175's.
In the past month I replaced all my swaybar end link and D bushes, 2x new front KYB shock, 2x new Dobsinson front springs(snapped one was replaced under warranty), replaced steering wheel with Momo Peanut WRX wheel, 2x new rubber floor matts.

To come... 2x new rear KYB Forester SG shocks, 6x new Yokohama Geolander AT-S tyres in 215/70R16, EJ25(waiting on Paul) and Rear bar with swing carriers.

Holy sh*t that's cool.

Totally dig it.

Over the weekend, with the help of my friend Robbie (MTB92) Lifted the Maple Brumby.
Looks great? yes. :D
Works? Not so much. :(

The exhausts Hotdog now touches the drive-shaft, and makes the worlds nastiest squeaking noise (fact.)
Also, the drivers side front Brake is very knackered (RSR will remember this) and the same wheels CV shaft is totally f*cked.
Hopefully tomorrow I can source a whole shaft and roll pin for the same... I need it for going down to Fairbridge on the weekend!!!

A question however: I have the engine/gearbox (roll pin) from the EJ powered second generation liberty - but the wheel hub assembly from the Brumby - What CV joints do I need to ask them for? :) The other one seemed to have slipped from the retaining clip and caused some damage to itself and the roll pin.

Hopefully all goes well... in the repairs. Photos up in a few days. ;)

Had custom (proper) equal length exhaust headers for EA82 in the wagon fabricated in stainless with 200 cell metallic catalytic converter. Sounds so sweet :D and drives smother :) than the hack job I had done before :(

Failed to take a pic of the outgoing unit, but these new headers are freakin awesome.
