Post by steptoe » Mon Jun 19, 2006 7:58 pm

I seen reference to EA82T water pumps being different to normally aspirated

what is the difference, and are they readily available new, scary prices ?

yep there is a difference in water pumps it depends on wether you have a v belt drive or a flat belt the back space for the flange is different as i found out i made a spacer to fit but the pump leaked anyway so replaced it with the correct one
hope that helps
Cheers Thierry

When you change your pump change the hose on top of it that runs back across the motor as if it breaks you near have to pull the motor back to the same spot to change it

Been doing a bit of research and find there are two part numbers, one for EA82 normally aspirated and one for turbo. The pump deck height is the difference - 105mm for turbo, 110mm for non turbo

Customer ? yeah, never thought of customer, I use the four letter word

then when asked if I wanted one and me commenting on the price being beat by a long shot by someone else (looks like anyone else! )

I was told they did not sell rubbish, only quality products and to have a nice week !
'
I have found my invoice for my 'only quality product' CV shaft, (5yr/100,000km waranty) got my spare botched up quiet no vibration test shaft and almost ready to swap it in to get the quality prick of a thing exchanged under warranty for the third bloody time
