Metric Thread Sizes on Brumby.

Post by Gazza01 » Sun Oct 02, 2016 11:38 am

I have just drilled out a rusty broken bolt that holds a bracket on one side of the rear end assembly/axle. I have to now re Tap the thread. Not game to remove any of the others bolts yet for fear they may also break. I have a metric die set and from what is left of the rusty old bolt the thread look like its 12x1.25 metric. Just before I start re tapping a new thread just wonder if any you blokes have any experience in re tapping suspension threads on a Brumby. Guess I could go with 12x1.75 or 12x1.25 just have to make sure get the correct bolt but would like to keep the same as other bots if possible.
