Are there any reliable aftermarket parts as good as the genuine ones when it comes to replacing the wheel hub / bearing assemblies and drive sahfts, or are genuine parts still much more durable / better option even given the price difference?
Anyone with good / bad experience with either long term?

Subydazz!! There’s a blast from the past!
If I’m not going genuine bearings I try to aim for a Japanese made bearing - NTN, Koyo etc
What are they going into?
Cheers

There really aren’t any - none as good as genuine OEM. No one wants to pay OEM prices though either!
So far Repco drive shafts seem to work pretty good for the most part. I have two on the front of the brumby, probably have 20,000km on them. I replaced a boot recently as it was spraying grease everywhere.
A mate of mine used to sell GSP shafts. Apparently they were bought out by some other mob and have since been merged with the new owner. Dunno if their quality dropped or not.
It’s a bit of a suck it and see. If you buy from online I doubt you’ll have any recourse for dodgy shafts that click pretty much out of the box. Buy from a store and you’ll have a better chance of getting a replacement - so long as you don’t mention lift. They might push you for evidence of a mechanic fitting the part if they’re trying to be picky. Just hold your ground and keep calm.
