L-Series Idling Really Low.

Post by 93_Subi » Tue Nov 07, 2006 11:31 pm

hey fella's..

Ive got a 93 L Series Wagon.. Which has recently been serviced ect..After a recent play on some soft sandy tracks and running pretty hard she started running with the rev's reallll low.. and almost wanting to stall.. after 2 mintues of driving this problem went away.. the problem has now started up again and isnt going away as easily.. some times stalling at traficlights ect..
Is this just a tuning problem or am i up shit creek??

Cheers.

Matt

check all vacuum lines, hoses and caps are on properly coz sometimes that can cause the engine to lose revs.

If you can't find anything you could always adjust the idle.

Check for sand down the throttle body too. I used to get that problem sometimes with my carby engine, jets staying closed etc.

exactly what i was gonna say andrew. Spray some carby cleaner down the ....carby(durrrr)...check your air filter as well

ever since my cars been lifted its been sucking air from the engine-bay, rather than the proper intake bit(due to pipework not fitting)...i went to check the airfilter, held it on its side and sand just poured out :)

also check your leads
