Overall I am VERY impressed with this car. Using all Gen2 outback gear in a Gen2 shell makes life so easy. Lifting this thing was far more straight forward than my car.
The car is now on its way back to Wollongong from Brisbane, and will probably have just clicked over 300,000kms. Even with all those miles on it the engine is still fresh, and mated to the dual range manual it makes easy work of the beach. It gets WAY better economy than my auto aswell. 9L/100 compared to my 12L/100
I will start another thread with some details of parts used etc in the tech section

sump guard
Gday
I have a similar coloured gen 2 lib that i have just fitted outback struts and raised springs to. i noticed in one of the pics that there was what looked like an ea81 sump guard on the floor. just wondered if you bolted this on and if so was it much of a drama. my lib has no lift so may affect the position of the sump
Also wondering how much down travel you have with the larger springs and struts (did you fit raised springs?). while i love the clearance im finding that speed bumps and wash outs etc cause a fair thud when hit with any speed (but who really cares!!).
Anyway great looking car and thanks for any thoughts..
