What a sh**ty way to end a great day!
What a sh**ty way to end a great day!
Went to Stockton beach today with about 45 4WD's including a new hummer and BMW M5 (which was absolutely hopeless in sand). Had a great day, barbie and beer on beach lots of showing off, dont the big boys get pissed when the ol L series shows em up!! Never had so much fun! Anyway got home and decided to find where the water was coming in under the dash.
And you guessed it -- the bottom of both l & r sides are rusted through, looks like a difficult job and expensive!! Sell of fix???

Depends on your means really...a few options spring to mind...
1 - Get it done professionally (drive in, drive out). Probably will cost in excess of $1500 or more. Whats the car worth to you?
2 - Fix it properly yourself. Do you have the tools, skills and heaps of time available to do it?
3 - Patch it up with fibreglass or similar and keep re-patching it up when it starts leaking again next winter.
