I hope you realise that is standard practise! Make sure you tie it down well at the front and the back of the vehicle onces its in position on the trailer, a bit of suspension dip while putting tension on the straps/chain is not a worry.

My tip - make sure ALL the trailer lights are working and be warey of what other drivers are doing around you as you may get a bit of a picture as to how truckies feel when driving in traffic with braking distances etc.

All the best with it.

Cheers

Also towed a gen1 Lib wagon on a trailer with a the above white gen1 Lib wagon in the pic from Manjimup to perth.

I however, towed a gen1 wagon on a trailer with my bro's gen1 RS sedan from Rockingham to Bently.

Didn't try the brumby yet as a towing car lol.

by law if I am correct the car on the trailer must be fixed at two points 1 at the front and 1 at the rear. I think all trailers should be fitted with brake-away brakes.

Also always use twice as much rope to tie down as you think necessary. The professionals towing my Kia relied on the handbrake and lost the car off the back of the towtruck.

Lol that was a bit crazy now that i think of it, specially with the Rodeo at the back. Now i swap to a mate that has a tow truck business, its same price a renting a trailer a saves you the trouble of going to get it and drop it off :P Oh and a lot safer than my previous towing... :D

Theres some good advice on here but this would have to be one of the best, I do however dissagree sometimes with using a a landcruiser being better than a big australian car Imagine how much harder it is to stop 3 tonnes as opposed to two. But another secret apart from taking all the corners wide is to make 100% sure both sides of the trailer are loaded evenly ie ute sits centred between left and right tires. plus make sure the trailer brakes are on and working (Except when reversing).
