when were these pics taken??

first two pics are of your car. this is from the ROC weekend.

log onto the RSLC ACT forums, and enquire about it...
Yeah, I went along to the pre roc cruise on Friday night. That's when those pics were taken.

I also started a thread on the actrslc forum about the same time I started this one. So all of the actrslc boys in Canberra are keeping an eye out for it to.

Do police actual search for any stolen cars? Or just keep an eye out when on other jobs, or when pulling people over for speeding, or reports of abandoned cars etc... ?

Chalk me up as another sorry to hear the bad news.

At least the thief had good taste, but would a Subaru enthusiast really steal anothers pride and joy ?

The unofficial police view is that everything can and should be insured and they are not gonna risk their arse or look too hard for anyones pride and joy

I once found a turbo Mazda 626 parked arkwardly in the scrub and hidden, missing just two front seats, reported to the police, but were not interested as it was not reported stolen. I wondered if it was reported stolen at a later date would they match my report and find it ?

Later, the turbo and intercooler and dizzy went then more bits. It was in too good a nick to be just abandoned or misplaced and forgotten

Don't want to drown your hopes with my pessimistic opinion of the police efforts I have experienced.

Inner Belconnen where uni students, unfortunates and undesirables all live together in harmony may be a good place to cruise - every little nook and cranny off Condell and Hennessy Sts

I'll keep an eye out if in the area - got your number in me phone

I got the RX back just now. Was rung up at 1am by police saying they have found my car and had the car delivered to my place about 10 mins ago.

They took the steering wheel, stereo system, seat covers, the gt forester scoop I had in the boot, and the cigarette lighter???? I think I am more depressed now than when it was stolen seeing it all ripped out like that, I guess I just had hopes it was some teenager who just took it for a spin and that would be it.

Body seems to be in same condition, have not tried to start it yet but I can see the ignition thing (tired) is a bit rooted looks like they used a screw driver to start it.

All in all I am very happy I have it back :D

Now for some sleep.

Thanks for all the willingness to help out and look for it.

Thats great mate! At least you got it back. When my sister's Gemini got returned to us from being stolen, they saw fit to smoke a few cones in the back seat. It took months to go get the smell out. They also smashed the dash with a hammer - that alone nearly wrote the car off. $600 to replace with a genuine Isuzu item.

You will get it back to normality soon enough - getting it back is a really good start.

Fantastic news!! And its great that it sounds like only cosmetic damage (must have been a few teenagers for sure).

Another RX lives on....

That is good to hear you have most of it back, especially after my pessimistic comment. Where'd they recover it from, do you know ?
