The Plan for my vortex
hmmm i might try a different carline branch
as for the wheels, yes they are 4 x 140 but atw are able to get some blanks drilled to that stud pattern
quote from e-mail
"very difficut to find can get some drilled from blanks what size do you want"
i sent back saying 16" or 17"
reply was
"the biggest problem is selecting a wheel , there are a few but it would be best if you come instore to view 16 & 17 shouldnt be a problem"
But i haven't got a average price yet so i will phone him tomorrow

LOL!
Sorry, I'll side with smoov on this one. Only BMW I've ever driven was a 2002 320i - and to date it's the most refined car I've ever driven. Not bad considering it was the pov-pack.
As for the extractor issue, its not pointless on a boxer engine. It's pointless on a siamese-port engine with headers already suited to the motor. Anyway, you'd need a lot more internal work done on the motor to justify custom headers (Mattims I hope you're reading this and thinking about selling me the big headers to go with my motor!).
EA81 headers are the go, but as smoov said, make sure you're getting a good set. Dents and cracks are the worst problem, surface rust isn't a problem at all.

I just called atw to get a price on the rims, I'm looking at between $1300 and $1600 for 4 17" rims customdrilled from blanks to suit 4 x 140
I was suprised even though the rims will cost nearlyasmuch as the car i was expecting a price between 2 and 3k
so i just gotta start saving now.
plus i got an excuse tomove my rims up my list to important status because i lost a hubcap the other day :P
