Well to cut a long story short we didn't end up buying it. The rust that was in it was a lot worse than we were led to believe. Doors and panels I could live with but it was in the turret very badly and around the boot quite badly. The dash was, well, stuffed. The indicator stalk was gone completely and the indicators were on a toggle switch that was just taped to the steering column.

I didn't even bother to lift the bonnet or start the car. Simply not worth the effort. I don't like seeing oldies like that wrecked but that is pretty much all it is good for.

Oh man that sucks :/

The dude could have at least been honest about it in the ebay description. I hope he doesn't go and give you bad feedback over it.

He didnt stay long enough to be social, the car was over due to be retired to the rust heap, it was pushing the bog out of the car from the base of the A pillar up the roof and through to the tailights. BTW the paint job was done using an old sandy paintbrush

sandy brush effect..... very artistic

sounds like the bootlid might be worth more to a taxi company than the whole car is worth lol :P

Is this what you’re after GTlegs? Careful though he seems to have advertised it twice on ebay without realising.

Great. Thanks for that. Is anyone in Brissy able to have a quick look at this car perhaps? Looking for rust and smoke mostly. Thanks
Also, how much do you recon freight to Melbourne might cost?
