The Toybaru as I call it.
I think it is a 2.0L Sub engine with a toy fuel injection system.

There's your next generation fuel, right there.
Produce it with solar power.
Direct inject it into a turboed h6....
Put it into the BRZ
The oil companies will go mental.
I'm not too sure, but I think the internal combustion engine will be around for a long while yet.
DEFIANTLY! more sustainable then electic also! and still has the fun factor of petrol

Wow, can of worms opened on the electric debate. My point: Production to destruction plus what ever is used in between the petrol engine comes out just a little worse than the hybrid electric - provided the hybrid electric doesn't need a battery change on an average life span of 120k km - which I also think it BS!

Yeah thats a bit like my concrete walls - I build them using concrete (obviously) and Polystyrene (made from petroleum oils) two fo the most environmentally unfriendly products on the face of the planet.

But the homes I was building were THE greenest houses you can build due to the ongoing lower energy costs and the longecity of the structure - rated for 100yrs + where most houses are lucky to last 50.

So the moral of this is don't take things on face value.

Which getting back on topic means even though it may be a Toyota and only have skinny tyres and skinny power output it seems to be more than the sum of its parts.

I think it reminds me of an affordable Lotus Elise. For what it is it gets a big thumbs up from me.

Thought I'd read an article in Unique Cars ( i don't just look at the pictures :) ) that the design cues for the 86 came from the 2000GT of the late sixties.
Lucky for the buyers of today it is not priced similarly. Was $9400 or 1.5 times that of an E-Type Jag, nearly 2.5 Falcon GTs of the day !!

I used to see one of these old 2000GT's regularly , knew it was rare and rather valuable. The owner drove it as his daily, parked amongst his work mates at the bus depot workshop carpark.

At least there will be more of the BRZ / 86's on the road at their more affordable price compared to the old beast !
