Hi.... I need new tyres for my 2006 XT Forester.. The old Yokohama Geolanders did not give me much pleasure. Does anyway know of a better replacement for them.. Tyre size is 215/55/r17.

Hey Shanevalo,
Welcome to the forum - you should look around, this could slot into the wheels and tyres section
Although I'd love to shove a forester drivetrain in my L, I have no idea about the tyres your talking about, but someone will.
Beaware that the advice you get may come with "use X tyre with 3 inch lift"
Have fun
Cheers
Bennie

G'day Shanevalo,
We recently put new tyres on our MY06 XT Foz. Didn't want those terrible Geo-squealers again, thats for sure!
We put on the new Bridgestone Adrenalin. So far they have been great - so much quieter that the Yokos, especially on cornering. They seem to be wearing well, however have only been on the car for about 7500 kms. They did the trip from Darwin to Canberra well - didn't lose any pressure and performed well with the car pretty well loaded and towing a trailer.
When you get new tyres, ensure you get the stated load rating or higher. The XT Foz requires 93W or better. The Bridgies are 94W, so are legal for our model.
Good luck!
Cheers,
