Brumby CV Boot protectors

Looked under my new brumby the other day and noticed that is has CV boot protectors (mud flap look alikes)

were these standard or has someone put them on?

On brackets welded on to the tortion bar tube? OEM

Minimally.

Better to get some larger bits of rubber and replace them.

If the car is lifted, it is almost necessary if you go on dirt roads. Especially the rears. All that extra room under the vehicle makes for more room for the front tyres to throw rocks at the rear boots.

Larger front ones are good for pushing through scrub. Won't help against big sticks, but all those little prickly things in the bush.
