Not a real big market for L-series sedans...still has the standard EA82...wheel spacers are illegal so it won't pass a rwc.

I'd sell the wheels seperately and cut the sell price to about $1500.

yeah i know that!
its in tassie so no need for rwc
and without the wheels it just looks like a standard boring L series..
i think i will drop the price if it dosnt sell next weekend!

honestly... i think you will be doing well to get much more than a grand for it

for 2500 bucks you can get a pretty good liberty these days

youll probably make an extra hundred bucks or so if you sell the hub adapters and wheels seperately to someone whos keen on them, and then the leone will look like a nice well looked after leone rather than a boy racers thrashabout

good luck ;)

a grand??
thats just a tad HARSH!
most of the L's i have sceena avtertised are A fawked and about a grand or B around the 2-3k mark...

i recon 2k is a fawking fair price.
u know this car hasnt been thrahsedabout.. unless ben did??
its a good car and i wont give it away. simple as that.

this i understand..
cars are worth what some one is willing to pay..
yours is a VERY diffrent type of car.. it will only sell to another subi nut in reality...
i will take 2k for it..
its not a standard L, it appeals to ALOT of ppl.. just carnt get them to buy it lol.

geez... so much for asking peoples opinions to see why you werent getting any bites!

you gotta ask yourself... why would someone want to buy a subaru?
general answer... small wagon that goes places other cars dont (snow/gravel/etc)

what you have is a fwd sedan
so now your in a market against every other fwd car on the market... and to tell you the truth... as much as i hate to say it... an excel is a much nicer car to be in than a leone

I agree with a few of the comments made here.

However, if you don't want to sell it immediately - then sit on it - and see if the right person comes along and pays the money you want for it.

My personal opinion is that I would rather race around in a $3000 Mark 2 Escort if I was to own a 2WD Sedan :D

Good luck with it mate.

2k is a fair price if it was a BROBE RX Turbo. But it's not. Who cares whether it has been thrashed or not, 17" gold rims say thrashed regardless of who is driving it.

I'll also put my hands up and say I'd rather be in a excel than a 2wd leone, but then I'd rather be in a brumby than an excel.

Mk II 'Scort would be a sweet ride too, or a RX2/3/7/5, all of which are available in the price range you are asking.

Welcome to the land of cars, value as you see it isnever street value...

Timely

Thursday last helped a friend's son by his first car - same model as yours, beige in colour. No sunroof. Had a CD player and reasonable speakers. Had AC

Clean as. 300xxx kms

Drives like a 2WD EA82 subaru - badly. But for a student with little income, perfect

Advertised $1,200 - sold for $950

Listen to the market and this thread.

Goodluck

I sold a 85 Leone sedan for $400 the other month. Had a dent in the door, but otherwise a nice car. I was asking $650 for two months before it sold.
They just aren't worth anything.
And when you fit things like wheels they don't add to value. Hell, I sold my Brumby (EJ22, FT4WD, 2" lift, 15" Superlites, Bullbar and rollbar, etc) for $3500. You could buy a standard one in same condition for $2800. Would of been worth more if I took it all apart and sold a standard Brumby and all the EJ22, FT4WD, etc separately. Hell, the box was worth $500 on it's own. And I had it on the market for over 5 months.
