Aftermarket subaru parts?

Post by fitzy03 » Sat Jan 21, 2006 11:48 pm

I was just wondering if there are aftermarket subaru parts such as tailgates and trims. Subaru australia are asking for $800 for a new tailgate without badges or paint or mechanism. Its then $30 a badge(x2), Mechanism is another $80 and then to get it painted is about another $70. Thats over $1000 just to get a tailgate so if there are cheaper tailgates or aftermarket parts it would be great if you could let me know. Also i was wondering if you can get rubber trims for the brumby instead of the chrome ones cause they are $800 new from subaru and i will just dint them and lose the tailgate one anyway.

Sunspares at Yandina have some aftermarket Fibreglass tailgate available i dont know how much but they are considerably less than OEM. As for the rubbers, someone with a Brumby help.

I remember seeing a fibreglass tailgate for a Brumby in the front part of Sunspares - unsure of the price though.

Thats perfect then. Do they actually make them or was it just a one off thing they had imported in?

I think they wanted $500 or so, also they had a mould made up for them.
