Stay away from Beaurepaires

Post by Bobbrumby » Tue Jan 20, 2009 3:28 pm

Well at mitchelton anyway, I got some tyres fitted to my rims there and not 2 weeks later I find I have a lock nut missing. So I ring them up and they say 'buy some more keep the reciept and we will reinburse you'. I get there show them the recipt for the new lug nuts and they say a week and half has passed its not our problem. I have a bit of an argument with the manager saying you have already agreed to replace them he said I did not say that one of my staff did and he was pretty much saying I should have checked them myself. I reply with so you dont garentee the wheels you fit will have their lug nuts tight enought not to come off going down the road, he replied you should have checked them yourself. I really wished there was more than one costumer in the shop to hear that. So I stormed off thinking I should install one of the 3 remaining lug nuts into the glass in their shop front, I refrained. So I begin fitting the newly bought lug nuts in their car park only to find another one of the lock nuts they 'tighttened' to be able to unscrew with my fingers. Dodgy buggers stay away from them. I have complained to their head office and I am prepaired to take it the consumer fair trading place maybe even ACA . Moral of the storey stay away from them at all costs.

I'd be more worried if I was the manager of that place - good to see you got good closure.

stuff like this always happens with tyres.

i had sum expensive tyres fitted to my car with the wrong load rating(undervalued), when my car got a yellow sticker the guys at the pits picked it up.

I went back to the tyre shop and they were aprehensive to help me out. There is a duty of care as the customer to check these things before you drive off. I also went to fair trading and they said the same, as there is a duty of care as the customer to check.

however the tyre shop did end helping me out after alot of piss farting around.

gee.... no its not your responsible to check after what they've done to your car! its them that they have to protect their arses!

It *does* piss me off when they have "hot headed" or "smart arse comments/attitude" if they're like that, I go somewhere else - simple as that.
Cheers
