G'day. Well the old L series has gone and number one son is proud owner of 92 Lib wagon and loves it! First cab of the rank was CD player (of course!), now maybe a set of wheels, and window tint. Its running standard 14" at moment. He wants a set of alloys, so what size and from what other subaru can go under it without any mods or affecting performance too much. We thinking 15'' or 16" or even factory 14" alloys. Doubtful he will lift it, or any other radical mods. Much of the driving is city and back home to country for the occasional fishing and camping trip. Thanks. Also any ideas for window tint in or around the Oakleigh area in melb. and approx cost?

From what I know and have seen is that you can fit 18" on it, but its not legal for it!!! Best to be safe since the factory size is 14" which legally you can have up to 2" over which comes to 16" if it goes beyond 16" ie. 17" or 18" its not RWC and insurance does not approve it unless you have engineers cert. for it. If its standard LX or GX liberty it'll have EJ22 engine, you wouldn't want to spend too much for EJ22 because they aren't "performance" engines.
Window Tint costs - last time I got quoted from Airport West was $325 for a wagon abt 2 years ago so its a rough idea for you.
Cheers
