wrx + Liberty/legacy

Post by Green_eyed_liberty » Tue Feb 07, 2006 6:46 pm

hey all, i have had this idea for awhile now.. is it possible or been done to convert change the front of a 93 liberty to a 93 wrx? is it as easy as replacing panels , bumper, bonnet ect like the nissan cars ????

also i am chasing for a turbo'd engine i know i need a halfcut for wiring looms, engine mounts ect, how hard would it be to do a conversion ??? so i am hunting a legacy, RS halfcut one importer could do it for 2800 is that an alrite price or am i getting ripped??

any info would be greatly appreciated

2800 is what I paid for mine just over 3 years ago. I'd assume its still a ballpark figure nowadays.

I don't think the panel swap can be done, but someone else here can better answer that. I think the Impreza is slightly narrower. In my experience there's not really a lot that goes together between Subaru models easily, unlike Nissans where nearly anything fits nearly everything :D.

my mate runs a early WRX front bumper on his gen1 lib.

It was a huge amount of work combining the GX bumper with the WRX one to make something that fits. the result looks awesome though.

so no you cant just bolt panels on..
