I'm looking at a brumby at a dealership

Can every one please tell me what to look for in them???

where do they rust, what to look for from the motor...ect...ect!!!

your best bet would be to read this topic showthread.php?t=11285

as they are restoring a brumby and it shows exactly where the rust lives in them (from around page 6 they start finding the rust)

the most common places are at the bottom of the windscreen, the front and rear wheel arches, the subframe, in the doors and where the tray meets the cab of the car

what price is the car yard selling the brumby for I have seen them for $7990 for a 89 with single head lights here in WA (in a car yard) I paid 3800 for an 89 with single headlights one owner and I didnt have to do much work on it at all

I think he wants $8000, for it, but I want to do a swap for my "09" 250 ninja.

For $8k it would want to be something special...I'd think $5 would get you a darn good example here in Vic.

good lord does it run a gold plated wrx motor gearbox and suspension it should for that price

Sheesh only pay 8g if it's done 50,000k and lived in a shed for the past 20 years.

Yeah keep looking. I got mine with 115,000 for only 2g, but that was out in a small caryard out west.
