Sick of the Subaru and wanting to advertise it in the local paper. After some info as to what it is likely worth.

Its quite rough but it has a canopy, bullbar and 14'' sunraysias. Also 2x near new seats waiting to go in.

It runs ok, cept for an exhaust leak at the front of the motor somewhere. Bit of noise when clutch is not pressed (thrust bearing?), leaks a small amount of oil and has a slow leak in the brake fluid. The body is rough. Paint cracked, faded etc. Little bits of rust here and there (the bit that holds the chrome trim on above the window etc). Has newish battery, new drivers side wheel bearings, carby job about 18 months ago etc. Comes with 9 months rego.

Would $3000 be pushing it?

Thanks.

Would 3k be achievable if I provided a RWC?
Shouldn't cost that much to find out what it needs for RWC.

I paid 3k for my '84 eleven years ago with an import motor and box new baked red paint, radiator and some rego. You get what people are prepared to pay and you are prepared to accept. Seen a few 92 examples going for 4.5k at dealers and they look very tidy, one with canopy.

Bought one like this for $800 as a farm ute. 2 days later sold the canopy and bullbar for $600...

I picked by Brumby up for a $1000, and had 1 month reg left on it. It also had a fully rebuilt gearbox with receipts that cost the previous owner $1400. Brand new clutch kit, Brand new steering rack, new gearbox and engine mounts, 4 brand new tyres, and a box of bits (Brand new rack ends, tie rod ends, cv boots, weber carby). He got annoyed with a driveline noise, that is still there now. I have done 17,000km since buying it in June. I bought it off Flebay at Buy it now price. All I did for a pink slip was replace rear shoes and machine drums (I installed L series Rear drums and backing plates) and front rotors and pads.

its only worth what some one will pay at a guess i would say any one that knows them would be lucky to pay you $500 but some ome that wants it could be silly enough to pay $1800 BUT SOME PEOPLE pay will buy them for $5 to 6 thousand and should have paid $1500 and other have paid $1500 for one that is worth $5-6 thousand
