For those of you that have been watching a thread I recently bought this 1987 RX for spares. It is now being parted out, If you see anything you want, speak up and make an offer. It has the 'BROB' VIN. It has the Flap AFM wiring loom. It has the 3.9 ratio gears. Please note, that it, and most of the parts I have removed off it are located on the mid north coast, NSW, near coffs harbour.

-UPDATE- Shell is now Sold , being picked-up this weekend, here is what is left you can pick through:

• 5mm Alloy Bash Plate to suit 3" lift kit
• 27x8.5" tyre on a 14" pug rim
• Flap AFM
• Flap type Dizzy, cap good
• Knock Control
• Aftermarket 10 blade, 12" thermo fan
• L series sedan towbar, complete.

What a pity you're parting this out rather than keeping a fairly rare and great car on the road. Poor old RX ....

Wasn't this the one on the forum a few years back that sparked the auto locker reverse engineering talk?

I eyed it off but didn't have the cash nor the inclination to travel halfway across oz for it... Would be nice though...

mate I know the history of this car very well. It would be a real shame to part it out.

yes it used to have a detroit in the back of it.. but that was a long time ago.

if you part it out, what diff is in it and if lsd clutch pack , i am interested and also if it has rear disks.

Yeah, it actually has quite a good body for an Lseries, no rust around the screen even! It's worth much more to me as parts though, so she's coming apart...

How much for the front seats?

If everyone rekons it's so good then somebody offer him a decent price for the whole thing, replace what he's taken and she can live on!

Exact same fate for my RX too unfortunately, worth far more as parts.

My heart jumped too Rick when I saw this. The open diff nearly made my cry. I don't think this project will ever have a LSD rear.

Shame such a sweet car is being parted looks like a real machine.

What do you want for it all, what are you taking off mechanical wise? Just the list. Very interested in the 'what's left' complete rolling unit.

incase anyone asks after me, this is what i've asked about (aka what i want dibs on lol):

1. both sunvisors
2. the lift kit
3. the air cond bits
4. the genuine mudflaps
5. drivers side front door arm rest
6. the centre console - from the dash back to the glove box

how much do u want for the front door trims and the plaste around the gear sticks and the floor mats if thay are in good nick .

Guys, I dont want to sell it as is, unless someone offers me like 1000 dollars for it so I can BUY the parts I wanted, and the problem with selling it after I part it out is that it will have no suspension under it and very hard to move, as well as being in a backyard, down a hill. The body will most likely just get cut up and moved. When asking me about parts please take the following into account :
-Please make an offer on the parts you require, I don't know what they are worth, I am going to list them on ebay, but I thought I'd post them here for a quick clearance first.
-Parts like interior I want to sell together (in a complete package), I don't want to keep going out to the car to just remove 1 peice of interior then pack & send that one piece, then tomorrow another, just dont have time!
-I am busy, so if I dont get back to you the same day you ask a question, be patient.

That being said, I reckon the Bullbar,Scooped Bonnet,Roof Basket(which will most likely fit a MY aswell) and Intercooler & fitting kit would have to be worth $100 a piece and the Lift kit, which has been NSW engineered and will be sold with the cert and the interior would have to be worth $200 each. Again-I dont know though, so maybe ebay will have to decide

Some parts have sold, so list has been updated, as it sits at the moment, it looks like I will be trying to get rid of the shell, with complete interior and wiring loom, soon. It would be ready for a ej20 driveline and suspension transplant. At the moment no body panels or interior have been removed, suspension has, crossmembers will go with it, interior is still complete. It would need to be picked up on a flat bed trailer, but the trailer has to fit through a standard single garage roller door, as the car is in the backyard, accessed through the garage. Looking for around $500 if anyone is interested. thanks.
