go to your local autobarn

with all the commodore drivers and find one lol

get a digital one i have an anologe timer in my l series but i reckon a digital one would be all fancy and stuff lol

I am with Chris... you do not need 1.... just leave car running for a min after driving or 'coast' just before you reach your destination.

My 2 c though is IF you are getting 1 i would look at 1 with a boost control option built in

Thata all we do with our work vehicles - latest Hilux 3.0 just idle them down for a minute or so. With my new L ride I do the same, nearly habit.

Yeah thats definitely best practice, although even that is almost overkill for a Subaru - the turbos are water cooled with a coolant resovoir specifically designed for this.
I just do what Jaffa said - cruise easy the last km or so before you get home and don't flog the crap out of it - then just shut it off as you would with a normal car.

Thats all I do also , just keep it off boost for the last few k's on the way home.
I also believe that it is illegal to leave a car running with no-one in the vehical.

Yes Mike you're right, it is.

I have a workmate that left the 'timer on in his 80 Series, he slammed the door when he got out which was enough force to push the car off the handbrake. It belted down his street and ended up in a neighbor's lounge room.

My mate gave me a new in box apex unit to day for free . any one done the wiring for this on a rs todate & can give me some tips , cheers

Just get a plug in harness for the apexi timer, very common.
The most useful part of the Apexi timer is the volt meter and A/F meter...
