Tim81Coupe one of our earlier EJ'd MY pioneers

Chris_Rogers audio man doing a complex L Series EJ with ABS etc

Brumberty Matt who had a Brumby twin port, the EJ LPG+dizzy then WRX'd

there are a few others that used to be quite regular in here and not heard of much lately, probably sticking their head in from time to time. Some have changed faith (Mudrat), , gone OS (no excuse there) got married, had kids or just lost interest

List up any others you can think of and see what comes up...maybe?

Tim is still around but just not so much on the forum.
Last I heard (from him posting on here recently) he was restoring an old Toyota 40series I think.
Far as I know he still has the old MY wagon "Milo" and I think he's wrecking his 20G RX sedan.

I AM IN THE SHED.

Trying to keep my tools safe from the TWO little boys we have now.
Working very long hours to keep them in nappies, formula and food.
I dont get on the web very much these days.

The jet boat is coming along nicely...
the Wonderbrumby is EJ22 powered again as the better half is driving it occasionally, strangely she didn't like wheelspin or sideways action.

I truly believe it is the best all round engine for the vehicle.

Best wishes to everyone, especially Brett and family..I hope you have recovered OK.

good to hear from you Matt..enjoyed your posts. Mork (my dog) wants to know how Groover is?

The high priest in the church of Groove is very well indeed.
He has a full time child care role, plays ball with both of them all day.

He is a bit peeved at not being allowed to come to work with me but makes up for it by guarding the family while I am not here.

Give Mork a scratch behind the ear from us down here.

Hey he's back!

How long since you have dropped in here Chris?

Have you got any progress pics of your wagon?

never really left. quit posting for a while but thats due to business. saw the car yesterday with the box out and in a 1000 bits. should be a better box once I get it back. instructed the builder that I didnt want to do this exercise again and to uprate a few things in it. he had a pile of dead bits and in that box it surprised me that it was still moving. every clutch in it was shagged.

know where I can find a later white grill insert? had someone back into my wagon and destroy and put a BIG dent in the bonnet (the one that was custom built for this thing.)

Wow that sucks!!! From memory, it was the bonnet with the vortex scoop?

As for the grill insert, are you referring to the US style RX one?

I lost the headlight washers, normal late model grill , jap fog lights (have a used set on the way from NZ) and the front bumper.

bumper and trim I have replaced. headlight washers I'm not sure how to get a spare set. its probably going to be left off and that part of it used as a sprayer for the i'cooler.

so if you know of a plain late model grill - point me to it.

How fast were they going???!!!

The headlight washers are removable, so you can retrofit them to a normal bar. A bit of work, but doable.

I've still got the US RX coupe grill here if you're interested (it's white).
Otherwise the local wrecker here has cars with grills on them I could source for you (not white though).

wagonist,

pm pls. if it sits/mounts in the same spot as the later one I'll take it.

as for speed. lowish. it was a navara pickup with a tow hitch. crossed the front of it taking lights first and then the trim, grill, bumper, bonnet on the way out.

the guys that built the bonnet are aware of it and can fix it easily. its a time thing for them and strange enough the damage bill for it is about $1500 for what looks like nothing. the fellow that did it is quite happy to pay up. he knows its a toy and he watched me build the thing.

PM me an email address (I lost it).
I'm pretty sure it fits in the same spot. Might be able to do some kind of swap rather than cash;)
