hi have heard about people having their engines steam cleaned does anyone know of a place in brisbane that does this? I have a mate that has a diesel nissan projectcar thats been running on vege oil for over a year and his pump has developed a leak and he wants to clean it up. normal degreaser does the job slowly but I thought steam might whip thru it.
cheers

Ive heard of it but dont know the results.
If its a very oily engine I use high pressure kerosene wash on that area with compressed air, it stinks but do it in well ventilated area.
Cheers

Head down to your local auto shop and grab some Chemtech CT14 and a spray bottle. This stuff is awesome. Try not to get it on the duco though. Mix it as the pack says and head down to your nearest sparklers car wash. Squirt this tuff on where it needs cleaning and wait about 5 min and blast it off there. If it still doesn't come off, you might need to rub it on a bit with a brush to loosen the buildup. Don't know of much that this stuff won't remove.
Think I paid about $20 bucks for a litre last time.

or if you don't wanna do it , look up car detailers in yellow, as they are the ones that get the grottsville trade ins looking like well cared for and clean cars that we see on used car yards
