Post by guyph_01 » Wed Jan 13, 2010 1:59 pm

Some of you that i talked too must know that vidlers old brumby was at pickles auction 2day and that i wanted to win it and was hopeing it went cheap. Unfortunately bidding started at 1000 and it got sold at 1600.

I hope it another enthusiast that bought it and we will see it back on the road soon. It was and still is a great little brumby.

Hey guys,

I was looking at the quokka this week and there's this brumby, add says
> brumby, 116,00 kms, manaul, reg serv, 1992, strong eng, 2" lift susp. lockable checker plate toolbox, 3" custom sports bar, towbar and bull bar for $4400<

Seems to be that its back on the road. I tried to call and get more details to be sure its Vidlers old brumby.

Anyway i know it sold at the auction for $1600. If its the same car, must be making good profit on it:)

If it was done properly it'd still be a good buy for $4000 but if it were me I'd be pulling the panel off the inside of the tray to have a look from in there!

Hardly a huge profit when you take into account Pickles fee's, towing, time/repairs/parts, pit inspection fee's & rego.

Not sure,
The car was $1600, pickles fee is can't be more than $100, towing $70, For the time/repairs/parts, if it was done properly or expensive he would be keeping it. So as its for sale it must have been done cheap or by himself so not more than $500, pit fee is $90 and rejo would be $300.

So thats 2660. Never said a huge profit but still good profit:)

Shame i had only $1000 then, i was at the auction and wish i had 700 more:(

I don't know about over there but in ACT you need to pass a $500 written off inspection! And in NSW they are bringing in laws so you can't reregister them, Ive heard they already brought it in but I don't know!
