You have 3 options
1. A small op-amp to amplify the signal from the water temp sender to turn on a relay and a light.
2. Use a factory thermo-switch off a radiator (you should be able to buy them in a few different temperatures)
3. Use a thermofan controller (probably a little overkill)

Same here it's got an alarm so you don't even have to look at itgrewi wrote:Try a TM2 engine temp watchdog, it has a digital temp readout and audible alarm that can be set to whatever temp you want. See it at enginewatchdog.com or phone 3277 6770 (Signals Australia) I have one in my L Series and it works well

That number needs an 07 in front for anyone not in QLD
Easy as to instal. Comes with a lighter plug. I hard wired one to my radio fuse in my GLTM. It is great. The sensor lead just goes out through firewall and bolt its eye to thermostat or rocker bolt, and you're off. Bought another for the Brumby. YOU set the temp that alarm goes off. I ummed and arghed at first - wasting precious time
