Got a new project..MY turbo diesel wagon
Got a new project..MY turbo diesel wagon
Howdy all.
After much deliberation I am selling the Wonderbrumby and building up an MY wagon.
With a difference.
It is going to have a Pugeot 1.6 turbo diesel
Lots of reasons for all this...
I grow sunflowers and plan to power it with my crop,
I need a 4 seater,
They make heaps of power, low end power.
I welcome any comments.

Subie running gear.
AWD L series with centre locker.
My guru is yet to get back to me regarding which 'bellhousing' will work better, the MY/L or EJ.
But yep.
1985 sky blue wagon,
2 inch lift,
Most definately 4wd.

Hey there Stuart, I just like the shape.
They are all cheap as chips, I just know the MY's backwards and have got unbelievable access to spare parts.
Like three whole cars.
I think they were better built too.
Still 1000's and 1000's on the road down here, 75% of which are baby poo brown.
The National parks service, hydro electric company and several other government departments all used them.
Still ticking along.
Libs wont last as well I think.

RSR is right, I have quirky or ecclectic taste in cars. I love MY's and don't like Libs all that much.
Selfishly it's all about me.

Point taken mr Vega.
You are right too, I perhaps have put it badly in words.
I am amazed how many thirty year old wagons around thats all.
A lib would work just as well but I am very happy being old.

Howdy thomas, I am using the radiator space and also bringing back the gearbox about this much I-------------------------------------------------------------------------------!thatsgoodsquishy wrote:So north south running four pot yeah? depending on your screen size.
The Peugeot motors are lego as well.
The TDI 1.9 seems the go from a 305, 405 or a couple of citroens.
All the petrol, and diesel donks of this size are identical primarily.
I am going for a running unit, complete.
But the kick ass way to get back some weight gain is to transplant the diesel innards into an petrol block with sleves which is alloy.
A guy in Denmark has just built one and its going strong with abuse.
Shouldn't weigh much more than an EJ.
If his lasts I will consider that.
This is not a race car I am building, its for me to haul tools, (read weight in stern), tow jet boat and for camping trips.
I drive like a nanny now anyway.
