Have decided to replace seals in oil pump while doing the timing belts. What is the best way to remove the drive cog ???? Have tried leaving the belt on but it just jumps a tooth when I turn the nut. Is it a normal thread or reverse thread ?

not sure of the ea81 but the ea82 you have to give it a sharp knock with a hammer or something, maybe use a long bar to get to it. normal thread.

Normal righthand thread (lefty lucy).. so just need to stop the belt from slipping :)

Yep.. but I'm guessing that because it has timing belts then it won't be a EA81
