1999 Forester Bonnet Protector

Post by Corax » Thu Sep 16, 2010 9:13 pm

Hey Suba-Dudes,

Went and saw Mr Subaru today to try and get a price on a bonnet protector for my 1999 model and was told that they can no longer get them, to old he told me. Now does this sound about right? Thought it would be possible to get one for a car that is only 10 years old! If this is the case does anybody know if its possible to buy a non-genuine one somewhere? The guy at subaru did tell me that it was still possible to get one for a 2000-2002 model ($70) but that the bonnets of that model were slightly different from the 1998-1999 forester. Thought they were all the same shape? Your thoughts please.

Cheers,
Corax.

I was able to get a set of Gen3 Outback ones from Subaru last year. I would have thought you could still get them considering they still sell L series and Brumby parts.
Cars: 02 Subaru Outback
85 Subaru RX Turbo Coupe (sold)
92 Subaru Brumby (sold)

You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.
